In 2000, inspired by the original Night of the Living Dead and Little Shop of Horrors, I decided to write a musical zombie film. It started out as a very broad comedy, with characters patterned after and spoofing the lead characters of classic zombie films. I nearly shot the film, but put the script aside instead.

Then a zombie craze swept Hollywood. Zombie pictures were everywhere.

After the craze died down, I took the old screenplay out and rewrote it to be more serious. It's still a funny script, but it takes the characters, and the threat, seriously - a funny, emotional musical story about the end of the world.

I'd still like to shoot this one of these days.
