Patrick Troughton as the second Doctor Who. He's a puppet made up of several body parts which can be jointed and animated. I've animated him walking.

I'm back to doing some work animating the lost episodes of Doctor Who. You can see all the characters here:

The head was a quick one, basically traced from a screen grab from The Invasion.

Fun fact - none of the original Whosprites were traced, over three years. I'm cutting corners now to get more work done quick.

The body was planned out using many different photos, and some CGI renders for the pants, which I completely ignored and just drew the way I wanted them. I did use the CGI pants/shoes for texture afterward.

The coloring you see was done in Photoshop with photos, screen grabs and CGI as the very rough starting point. The art itself was drawn with pigment pen on paper.

Nice :D. I quite like those two last profiles. In one of your video, around the end I think, the doctor's head was bent too much forward.

It's a shame that I haven't gotten to do much more work on the lost episodes, as everything that's on Youtube was intended as a very early test. I drew these new pieces for an episode which was finished in rough form but which we're hoping to finish to a better standard one of these months.

Please do warn me when it is finished :)! And, may I ask which episode is concerned?

Sadly the animator has been busy for awhile with other things, and I'm not expecting a revised version anytime soon. I can't really discuss it til then either.

It was pretty nice work though, and exactly what I'm looking for on this project - animators who will take the lead and do the movement and lip sync for an episode themselves using my large database of finished artwork.

Oho! It's a surprise then :D! Well, I do hope your project will bare its fruits. Good luck!
