I'm in need of rent money this month. Anyone want commissions drawn? Usual charge is $50.

I'm still not done with my commission backlog, but I'm getting there. I'm putting a lot of time and effort into these as usual ... weeks' worth in some cases.

Sorry buddy, this time around I'm all tapped out [and you know that more than anyone]. ^^;

Plus Changeling Challenge sales have been as poor as I expected it to be, since all my advertising efforts have fallen flat so far. :(

Aw. Sorry to hear that, it's a wonderful thing.

I do owe you two pieces of artwork and I'll get to that ... I'm Thief and the Cobblering at the moment.

I need a MLP poster made for a friends birthday. If I can commission you to do it that would be awesome.

For my friends birthday I wanted to get her a poster of the siblings from Neil Gaiman's Sandman (Dream, Death, Desire, Delirium, Destruction, Despair, and Destiny) as My Little Ponies. I could pay you as soon as Tuesday afternoon. Could you give me an estimate on cost and how long it would take to complete?

Kitty, I've already done the Sandman characters as My Little Ponies. Although two of them aren't released yet (and I didn't include Destruction). Check my Ponies folder.

Actually, do you think I could be of help without asking for a commission? I don't mind just giving you some money to help with the rent.

I'd prefer to earn my keep somehow.

Well, $50 is a bit hefty. Though you are highly skilled and it's your profession. How about I ask for line art? Doesn't have to be colored with a background and all.

Imagine I was working at an everyday, unskilled day job. Imagine a basic wage of $10 per hour of work, or even $5.

$50 would buy 5 or 10 hours of my time.

Based on that, 9 times out of ten I am vastly undercharging. I have spent a ridiculous amount of time on many of these commissions. I am a perfectionist and want to deliver the best. I did a pony today very quickly, but right now I'm doing this huge piece which is taking many days to do.

A $50 commission would probably not buy color anyway, unless it's ponies, which I don't color myself. Coloring anything tends to take a long time.
